Long Description:
After months of use deep in dungeons or on the battlefield even the best leather will start to show signs of wear. In this class, we’ll be discussing and practicing multiple methods of indicating leather surfaces and objects that have seen significant use. We will be making use of layering, stippling, and glazing to achieve these effects. Required Skills: This is an effect appropriate for painters with some experience. Familiarity with painting small, thin lines with thinned paints will be a help. Each student will be provided with a miniature and a printed handout to take home for reference materials. Paints and basic brushes will be available for the use of all students, but students are encouraged to bring their own size 1 or 2 brush that has a good, sharp tip if that would be more comfortable.
