Long Description:
Clothing and items made of cloth exposed to the weather and combat break down over time and showing that wear is easier than you might think. Elbows and knees start to wear thin, tears and scratches start to fray, stains and dirt get ground-in to the weave. We’ll be using layering, glazing, stippling, and washes to turn our miniature’s perfectly clean clothing into worn and filthy testaments to their ability to survive. Required Skills: This class is appropriate for painters with some experience. Familiarity with painting in layers, stippling, and glazing will be helpful. All students will receive a miniature and a printed handout to take home as reference material. Paints and basic brushes will be available for students to use in class. It is recommended that students bring their own size 1 or 2 brush to class if they are more comfortable with their own tools.
