A chorus of screams and clatter awake you in the middle of the night. The flicker of firelight outside dances around the perimeter of your locked shutters and door. Many of your neighbors join you to peer from cracked doorways, a few clasping candlesticks and fire pokers. You follow the collective gaze down the trail of destruction to the church in the distance, set ablaze, the town guard is falling to a group of attackers... "Where is my child!?!" You hear from behind you...
