Long Description:
Blighthaven, a village plagued by despair and disease, is on the brink of hopelessness. The Gauntlet, an underground trial for the desperate, offers a tiny chance of escape from the squalor. Villagers willingly enter via lottery, resigned to likely failure. The prize? A rare opportunity to rise from their miserable existence to societal privilege. However, this promise is overshadowed by the specter of defeat. There are legends of 'The One,' a sole Gauntlet survivor who ascended to the Circle of Twilight's influence. But, the villagers' hope fades with survival seeming unachievable. As the Gauntlet's looming presence grows daily, it offers a glimmer of desperate respite in their darkness-consumed village.
