Manceologist Morgan Rechls has made the discovery, except things don't quite go as one might hope. Others have learned of his impressive discovery, and seek to benefit from what the codex can provide. When Rechls returns to his home in Somnolence, the codex thrums to life after centuries of dormancy. In doing so it calls forth something - evil. Somnolence is about to face an invasion from something that is beyond their very comprehension.
