EMERGENT is an investigative horror ttrpg where you play as highschoolers that discover they have superpowers and must fight interdimensional monsters, inspired by media like Stranger Things, Supernatural, and X-men. Each Monster is extraordinarily powerful. Players have no chance if they fight fair--so don't. Players must track down the Monster, examine the sites of its attacks, observe its behavior, explore its lair, and find its weaknesses--and then exploit them using their powers and ingenuity with a streamlined crafting system. Finally, engage in punchy, streamlined combat focused around teamwork and creative, cooperative use of your powers, without the constraints of an initiative system. This shorter session will show off the core mechanics of Emergent--Monster hunting, chases, using powers, crafting, and combat. We're excited to play with you!
