Let’s talk about games & play in education, exchange ideas, and create collaborations. The teachers will be the focus, but all are welcome! No presentations—we'll socialize and learn from each other.
Details
Timing:
Thu 8:00 PM - Thu 9:00 PM
Location:
Westin
/ Senate I
Long Description:
An informal hour for anyone interested in using games in education (at all levels). The focus will be on the teachers, but if you’re a game designer, content or instructional designer, or someone else who works with games in education—or is just fascinated by the idea—welcome! Unlike Trade Day, no presentations will be given. Instead, we’ll start the hour with an icebreaker game, then use the remaining time to socialize, exchange ideas, and make contacts. We’ll also have sample educational games and material available. Led by the co-authors of the new book "The Educator’s Guide to Designing Games and Creative Active-Learning Exercises: The Allure of Play."
